Fluttering Her Lips

Some mishap led up to the following lines:
Undaunted by their forbidding foreheads,
She bandaged their foul-smelling, ultra-violet scalps.
Her canisters of liniments depleted,
She began a backward journey of a hundred-thousand steps,
Wearing a veil the size of a carpet,
An impulsive heartfelt monologue fluttering her lips.
I think this comes after the Tricky-Dip episode, with the squawking seagulls and the exploding porch. I do not know for sure who “she” is, but I think it might be the young woman with the battered little wires. She is obviously compassionate. I think she tends to be rather quiet, maybe even reclusive. I wonder what she is saying as she walks backwards to who-knows-where, apparently with the intention of replenishing her liniment stock. I hope I can figure out her name soon.
