He delivered the sparkling ladder to the watchtower,
Then noticed that someone had rolled rusted wheelbarrows in a semicircle
To ward off the obvious danger posed by the huge marbles.
He signaled the ticket-taker, murmuring the agreed-upon lyrical phrase,
Then, reluctantly, he passed the time by wandering the inside road,
Which was surfaced with ground stalagmites.
