Pilgrimage, Day 3

She walked toward the speck of bright colors

In the otherwise-drab landscape.

As she came closer, she could see that they came from

The front half of an orange musclebound

Four-foot-high fiberglass squirrel

Dressed in tie dye, with tiny-fingered paws

Clutching a basketball-sized acorn.

His apostrophe-shaped eyebrows

Frowned above bulging eyes,

And his front teeth were as big as dinner plates.
